Phytotherapy can be defined as the use of medicinal plants for the treatment of diseases and the preservation of health. The Phytotherapy Master's Program launched education at Yeditepe University in 2006. The main aim of the program is to train master's students equipped to apply phytotherapy correctly and rationally. The program aims to produce graduates who can evaluate the role of herbal products in the prevention of human health and the treatment of diseases in light of scientific findings, interpret the bioavailability, pharmacokinetic, and pharmacodynamic properties of herbal components, assess the effective components, mechanism of action, dosage, and potential risks of phytotherapy products in the prevention and treatment of diseases, apply current analytical tools to generate solutions to problems, and possess professional and ethical values and strong communication skills.
