The History Department offers a Masters Degree program in English for students of various disciplines. Areas of study include Turkic, Ottoman, Modern Turkish, Eastern Mediterranean and Middle Eastern studies.
Candidates who pass the written and oral exams are admitted to the program and are required to complete 24 credits in order to graduate the masters program with thesis.
Seminars and Thesis are non-credit. Our students will take two compulsory courses and two electives every semester, complete their theses successfully. At the end of one academic year, they will obtain their diplomas. Candidates who are not considered qualified by the Evaluation Jury on the basis of Scientific Preparation Level will be admitted to the program, provided that they take and pass the undergraduate courses which suit their own areas of interest.
