Profile of the Programme

Pharmaceutical Toxicology PhD program gives the students necessary knowledge on basic concepts in toxicology; factors affecting toxicity; toxic mechanisms of action; absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion of drugs, chemicals and food additives that may cause harmful effects in living systems and; dose-response relationships; toxic responses of the target organ; harmful drug reactions; poisoning and treatment methods; toxicity research methods; and risk assessment in toxicology to make the safety analysis. The program aimed to train pharmaceutical toxicologists equipped with the knowledge and skills to work in different application areas of pharmaceutical toxicology, high ethical standards, the knowledge to protect of public health, can follow the global developments and capable of recognized the importance of lifelong learning. In addition to the obligatory courses, students are also offered the chance to choose their preferences electives courses.
