This program is subject to the first-cycle degree system in the field of Theatre within higher education, requiring the successful completion of 240 ECTS credits.
Upon successful completion of the program and fulfillment of all program requirements, students are awarded a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre.
Students who wish to enroll in the department must complete the processes determined by ÖSYM within the academic and legal framework of the university, successfully pass the relevant examinations, and additionally succeed in the Special Talent Examination conducted by the department.
For this exam, candidates are required to perform/present before the examination jury a dramatic or tragic monologue, a comedic monologue, and a poem, with a total duration not exceeding 10 minutes.
Students who have begun their studies in an equivalent program domestically or abroad may apply for lateral transfer. Applications are evaluated individually before the start of the semester, taking into consideration each student’s qualifications and the level they are applying for. Following an evaluation and upon successful completion of a Special Talent Examination of similar content, students may be accepted into the program via lateral transfer.

International students are required to present a C1-level Turkish language proficiency certificate before beginning coursework.
Students coming from abroad under officially approved exchange programs may enroll in courses offered in English, in accordance with program agreements.
Our graduates primarily work in the fields of theatre, television, and cinema as actors, acting consultants/coaches, and directors. They may also take on various roles in theatre-focused projects within private or public educational institutions, associations, and similar organizations.
There is no additional academic year-end, final, or special completion examination required to earn the degree or complete the program. However, at the end of each semester, a two-week semester-end examination period is held immediately following the conclusion of classes.
