Profile of the Programme

The Master’s Thesis Program in Agricultural Trade and Management is an interdisciplinary graduate program that approaches the agricultural sector holistically through the perspectives of economics, business administration, and international trade. The program aims to equip students with advanced theoretical knowledge and research-based analytical skills.

The main objective of the program is to train specialists who are capable of analyzing all stages of agricultural and food systems—from production to marketing—within economic, managerial, and policy dimensions; and who can produce original academic work by effectively applying scientific research methods. In this regard, students gain in-depth knowledge in areas such as sustainable agriculture, food security, agricultural policies, rural development, and global agricultural trade.

The thesis-based program consists of coursework and a master’s thesis designed to develop students’ academic research competencies. Students prepare a scientific thesis on a selected topic by employing quantitative and qualitative research methods, thereby contributing to the academic field.

Graduates of the program may pursue academic careers, work in research institutions, or serve as specialists in strategic analysis, policy development, and consultancy in the public and private sectors.
