Profile of the Programme

The aim of the  Chemical Engineering Undergraduate Program is to educate students to become chemical engineers with a strong background in fundamental engineering principles  and  production technologies that require chemistry and chemical engineering expertise.  The program began to accept students in 2001-2002 academic year,  and has over 500 graduates working in chemical and related industries at executive, production, design,  research and development positions.

The curriculum includes science courses in the first and second year of the program. Fundamental engineering and chemical engineering courses (such as Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Reactor Design and Process Control) are taught starting from the second year.  in addition to the core chemical engineering courses which expose students to engineering software through team-oriented projects, the program offers elective courses that educate students in subjects they are interested in within the professional practice. These courses are reinforced with plant trips, 20 day internship and seminars.
