The development, preparation, and delivery of all types of drugs used in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases; ensuring patients are properly informed about drug use and drug-related issues; conducting drug analyses and monitoring their reliability, efficacy, and cost; and activities related to ensuring standardization and quality assurance of drugs are collectively referred to as “Pharmacy.” A healthcare professional authorized to carry out pharmacy activities after graduating from the Faculty of Pharmacy is called a “Pharmacist.” The Faculty of Pharmacy is a 5-year undergraduate program that includes theoretical and practical courses. The practical courses that form the basis of pharmacy education take place in the laboratories of the Faculty of Pharmacy. In addition, students have the opportunity to complete mandatory internships at hospitals, pharmacies, and pharmaceutical factories during their education.
