Pharmacognosy is a scientific field that studies pharmaceutical raw materials of natural origin (plants, microorganisms, marine organisms, and animals). The Pharmacognosy PhD program began education at Yeditepe University in 2007. The program includes theoretical and practical courses and research on the isolation, structural determination, and biological activities of bioactive metabolites from herbal drugs.
