At Yeditepe University, students may be exempt from the course requirements of their registered program if equivalency is established. In the equivalency assessment, learning outcomes, ECTS/credit load, and course content are taken into consideration, and the decision is made by the relevant department or academic board.
Exchange Programs (e.g., Erasmus+): Courses that have been pre-approved for recognition through a Learning Agreement are formally recognized within the program upon successful completion, based on the decision of the relevant Administrative Board. The grading and recognition of successfully completed courses and internships may vary depending on departmental or university regulations. Credit/course transfer and exemption procedures are carried out in accordance with the Turkish Qualifications Framework (TQF) and the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) regulations on the recognition of prior learning.
Yeditepe University closely follows developments regarding the recognition of learning acquired through internationally recognized advanced high school programs (e.g., Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme) or online learning platforms (such as Coursera), including micro-credentials and university-level courses. Practices regarding the recognition of such learning will be shaped in line with the regulations introduced by YÖK and the TQF, and the University fully supports this vision.
