Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Demo University acknowledges the value of knowledge and skills acquired through:

• Formal education (completed courses or programs at accredited institutions).
• Non-formal education (certified professional training, workshops, or seminars).
• Informal learning (work experience or independent study).

Application Process for RPL:

1. Submission of Documentation:
   • Applicants must provide official transcripts, certificates, or proof of learning outcomes.
2. Evaluation:
   • The Academic Board assesses the documentation to determine equivalency with Demo University’s curriculum.
3. Credit Transfer:
   • Recognized prior learning may count towards degree requirements, subject to program-specific policies.

Credit Mobility

As a participant in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), Demo University supports credit mobility through partnerships with institutions worldwide, enabling students to benefit from diverse educational experiences.

• ECTS System Integration:
  • Demo University uses the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) to ensure transparency and ease of credit transfer across institutions.
• Exchange Programs:
  • Students can participate in Erasmus+ and other international exchange programs to study abroad while earning credits applicable to their degree.
• Learning Agreements:
  • Before mobility, a learning agreement is signed between the student, Demo University, and the host institution to outline the courses and credits to be transferred.
• Recognition of Credits:
  • Upon successful completion of courses abroad, credits are fully recognized and included in the student’s academic record.
