In the central placement method, candidates are placed in higher education programs by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM), taking into account their examination scores, weighted secondary education achievement scores, additional scores, if any, their preferences regarding higher education programs, and the quotas and requirements of these programs.
The initial registration procedures of students placed at the University by ÖSYM are carried out by the Directorate of Student Registration Procedures on the dates announced by the University, in accordance with the schedule determined by ÖSYM.
In order for students’ final registrations to be completed, they are required to submit the original copies or certified copies of the documents specified in the ÖSYS Higher Education Programs and Quotas Guide, together with the documents requested by our University.
The registrations of students who are found not to meet the requirements for final registration, who subsequently lose these requirements, or who are determined to have registered through false or misleading statements or documents shall be cancelled, even if their registration has already been completed.

The application requirements for higher education institutions and programs admitting students through Special Talent Examinations are set out in the Guide published annually by the Student Selection and Placement Center. Candidate students applying to programs that admit students based on the results of Special Talent Examinations are admitted to the relevant programs according to the examination results conducted by the University, in accordance with the principles determined by the Council of Higher Education.

The admission and registration of students transferring from domestic or international higher education institutions to the University’s undergraduate or associate degree departments or programs are carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation on the Principles Regarding Transfer between Associate and Undergraduate Programs at Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor, and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer published by the Council of Higher Education, and the Fundamental Principles and Rules for Transfer at Yeditepe University.
Types of Transfers are divided into two categories: Transfer Based on Grade Point Average and Transfer Based on Central Placement Score.
Transfer Based on Grade Point Average: This consists of three types: internal transfer between equivalent diploma programs at the same level, inter-institutional domestic transfer, and inter-institutional international transfer.

Transfer Based on Central Placement Score: In applications for transfer Based on Central Placement Scores, it is required that, as of the year in which the student took the central examination and enrolled in the program to which they were placed, the placement score obtained in the score type valid for the program to which the student wishes to transfer must be equal to or higher than the lowest score of the relevant program at Yeditepe University.

The admission and placement of graduates from vocational schools or open education associate degree programs who wish to continue their studies in undergraduate programs are carried out by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). Students admitted to undergraduate programs through this process (DGS) have their course exemptions and program adjustments arranged according to the Regulation on the Continuation of Graduates of Vocational Schools and Open Education Associate Degree Programs to Undergraduate Education issued by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and Yeditepe University’s internal adaptation procedures.
The admission and registration procedures for international students, including foreign nationals and Turkish citizens residing abroad, are conducted in accordance with the “Regulation on the Admission of Foreign Students to Higher Education Institutions in Türkiye,” the “Principles Regarding the Admission of International Students” issued by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), and the Yeditepe University International Student Admission Directive.
Students enrolled in any level of education at our University (undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral) may benefit from bilateral student exchange programs between Yeditepe University and other higher education institutions in Türkiye or abroad for one or two semesters.
Students enrolled in a double major program may apply for mobility from only one major program during the same application period. During the exchange period, the student’s enrollment at Yeditepe University remains active.
Student exchange programs are implemented in accordance with the relevant regulations and principles published by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and the terms of the bilateral agreements.
Admission to graduate programs is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) Regulation on Graduate Education and Training and the Yeditepe University Graduate Education and Training Directive.
The application requirements for graduate programs are determined by the Graduate School. Candidates may submit their applications through the Yeditepe University Online Application System. The student evaluation and admission process is conducted by the relevant Department Chair, and registration procedures are finalized by the Directorate of Student Registration Services.
