As a result of increasing competition driven by globalization and information technologies, the fields of international trade and logistics have gained significant importance. The aim is to provide human resources who meet the requirements of the modern age, are open to continuous change and development, possess advanced analytical and objective thinking skills, and are capable of going beyond the standards of their time; to conduct academic research in these fields; and to educate future academics.
On the other hand, a strong logistics sector is a prerequisite for the proper functioning of trade. Logistics is an application area whose importance is steadily increasing both in Türkiye and worldwide, and it encompasses the processes of planning, implementing, and controlling the efficient and effective flow of materials, services, and information from the point of origin of raw materials to the point of final consumption in order to meet customer needs.
The logistics and transportation sector consistently expresses its need for qualified personnel in every environment and opportunity. In addition, the program will establish a strong synergy by linking two closely related fields—international trade and logistics—and will meet a significant need in this respect.
Furthermore, due to the legal requirement that organizations operating in transportation and logistics activities must be managed by “specialized graduates,” and because of the close relationship between logistics and trade, the Master’s Program in International Trade and Logistics Management will provide graduates with a distinctive advantage.
