Educational Aim of the Program

  • To educate individuals who possess interdisciplinary knowledge of the fundamental theories, concepts, and principles of journalism, communication, and media studies.
  • To equip students with professional-level skills in news production, editing, and publishing across written, visual, auditory, and digital media platforms.
  • To educate individuals who closely follow the process of digital transformation and can creatively utilize new media technologies.
  • To train journalists who uphold ethical values, press freedom, and a sense of social responsibility, prioritizing the public interest.
  • To develop critical thinking skills based on verification, source evaluation, research, and data analysis throughout news production processes.
  • To provide students with knowledge about media structures, politico-economic relations, and legal regulations at local, national, and international levels.
  • To educate graduates capable of producing content sensitive to cultural diversity, human rights, environmental issues, and social equality.
