Graduation Requirements

• The normal duration of the joint program is 4 academic years. The maximum period of study is 7 academic years.
• Students will attend the first two years of the joint program at YEDITEPE, and the remaining two years of studies at CoeC. The total ECTS of the program is 244.

Students who fail to meet the requirements of a course are required to repeat the coursework at the same institution. In case the partner institution accepts equivalence, a course may be repeated (or those courses that cannot be registered due to academic reasons such as prerequisites, limits on number of courses per semester, etc.) at the other institution as long as 25% of the total coursework counting toward the degree is completed at the other partner institution and student meets the residency requirements of partner university.

In case of academic failure, the joint program students are subject to the following application, which is stated in Article 14 of the relevant regulation:

• Joint program student whose registration is terminated due to academic failure at Yeditepe will be terminated from the joint program.
• A student who is expelled due to academic failure in the joint program while studying at CoeC can make a transition according to “Regulation on the Principles of Transition Between Programs, Double Major, Minor and Credit Transfer between Institutions at Associate and Bachelor Level Programs in Higher Education Institutions” published in the Official Gazette of Turkey dated April 24, 2010, and numbered 27561.
• If the student’s registration is terminated in one of the institutions, the registration will be terminated in both universities.

Diploma

Students who meet the academic requirements of both institutions will be awarded two independent diplomas: one from Yeditepe in Bachelor of Science in Physics, and one from CoeC, in Bachelor of Art in Physics. At the back of both diplomas the following statement will be written: “This is a joint program between YEDITEPE University and Coe College”.
