Students Transferring from Other Universities
Students' prior education before enrolling in Yeditepe University undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral programs is recognized in accordance with the relevant regulations of the Higher Education Council and under the coordination of the Equivalency Commission. Courses taken at other universities as part of prior education are recognized and the grades are recorded on the transcript if the Equivalency Commission finds them suitable for the program in question.
Students who enroll through vertical transfer are first required to take the English Proficiency Exam.
Foreign Language Exemption
Students who have received foreign language education as part of any formal, informal, or non-school education before enrolling in Yeditepe University undergraduate or graduate programs are exempt from preparatory education if they pass the foreign language exam organized by the Department of Foreign Languages, and this exemption is recorded on their transcripts.
Recognition of Non-Formal and Informal Learning
A Foreign Language Exemption Exam is held at the beginning of each academic semester. Students who believe they meet the expected proficiency levels in this area are eligible to take the exam. Students who take the exam and pass are exempt from the relevant courses in the curriculum.
