Students Transferring from Other Universities
The education of students prior to enrollment in YTÜ undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral programs is recognized according to the relevant regulations of the Council of Higher Education and under the coordination of the Adaptation Commission. Courses taken at other universities as part of previous education are recognized and grades are recorded on the transcript if the Adaptation Commission deems them suitable for the program.
Students enrolling through vertical transfer are first required to take an English Exemption exam.
Foreign Language Exemption
Students who have received foreign language education through any formal, non-formal, or extracurricular education program before enrolling in YTÜ undergraduate or graduate programs are exempt from preparatory education if they pass the foreign language exam organized by the Department of Foreign Languages, and this exemption is recorded on their transcripts.
Recognition of Non-Formal and Extracurricular Learning
A foreign language exemption exam is held at the beginning of each academic term. Students who believe they have met the expected proficiency requirements in this area are entitled to take the exams. Students who pass the exam are exempt from the relevant courses in the curriculum.
