Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)

  • The admission and placement of the Turkish students who completed their secondary education to the joint program will be based on the YKS administered by OSYM.
  • The joint program will only accept students based on the science score type.
  • Admission of non-Turkish students to the joint program is subject to the criteria (international.yeditepe.edu.tr) that have been drawn up based on Article 14/f of Law numbered 6287 published in the Official Gazette of Turkey dated April 04, 2012, and numbered 28261.

Admission Rules for CoeC

The admission of the students for CoeC requires;

  • Having admission to Yeditepe and meeting the requirements set down by Yeditepe for language proficiency,

    The medium of instruction for the joint program is English. Students are required to document language proficiency in order to commence their academic studies. Applicants whose native language is not English must submit a minimum score of 79 on internet-based TOEFL or 213 in computer-based TOEFL or 550 on paper-based TOEFL.

    Students who do not meet the language proficiency requirements of Yeditepe will be admitted to the English Preparatory Program at YEDITEPE English Preparatory School. The maximum period of study at the English Preparatory Program is two years. These students are subject to the ‘Rules and Regulations regarding Education and Examinations of Yeditepe University English Preparatory School’, and must meet attendance requirements.

    The joint program students who cannot provide the foreign language requirements at the end of the maximum level of education can register at a Turkish language equivalent program at the higher education institution where the student is enrolled. The student can also be placed (if so requested) by the OSYM to any Turkish language program with a base point condition as of the year of enrollment at the higher education institution.
