In Turkish higher education institutions, recognition of prior formal learning (vertical, horizontal, and intra-university transfers) is carried out within the scope of the "Regulation on Transfer, Double Major, Minor, and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer Between Associate and Undergraduate Programs in Higher Education Institutions" and Yeditepe University's Horizontal/Vertical Transfer Course Adaptation Principles, as determined by the Council of Higher Education. The recognition process for non-formal, certificate-based, or experience-based learning outside of formal education institutions in Türkiye is still in its infancy. Therefore, recognition of prior learning has not been fully implemented in all programs at Yeditepe University.
