Yeditepe University’s Department of Journalism offers its students a comprehensive and versatile education. It is a dynamic program that continuously renews itself by keeping pace with technological advancements in both theoretical and practical fields. Owing to the wide range of opportunities it provides and the professional success of its graduates in the communication sector, the Journalism Department has become an increasingly preferred program among students each year. In addition to its core theoretical courses, the program integrates information technologies to help students build strong connections between theory and practice. Alongside its expert academic staff, the department regularly hosts professionals from the media industry. Through seminars and conferences organized by the department, students are encouraged to closely follow current developments in the media field. The mandatory internship program allows students to gain hands-on experience in the sector and apply the knowledge they have acquired in their courses. Beyond internship opportunities, the department supports students’ practical learning and production skills through Yeditepe Postası magazine, Gazete Yeditepe, the news website koridor.yeditepe.edu.tr, and the Yeditepe News Agency (YHA).
