The Department of Public Relations and Publicity offers its students a wide range of academic and international opportunities. Students have the opportunity to develop their skills in various disciplines through double major and minor programs approved by the university's relevant boards. The department has double major agreements with numerous departments such as Business Administration (English), Psychology, Radio, Television and Film, Sociology, and English Language and Literature, and minor agreements with departments such as Anthropology, Translation Studies, International Trade and Business, Management Information Systems, and Tourism and Hotel Management. Additionally, students can transfer to various programs through horizontal and vertical transfer opportunities, allowing them to tailor their education to their personal and professional goals.
The department has active partnerships with leading European universities through the Erasmus+ student and faculty exchange programs it has been running since the 2006–2007 academic year. Agreements with institutions such as Danubius University (Romania), Hanze University (Netherlands), Instituto Politecnico de Lisboa (Portugal), Panteion University (Greece), and SRH Hochschule Berlin (Germany) offer students the opportunity to study abroad for one or two semesters and gain international experience. Exchange programs are regularly announced on the department's website and social media accounts, and detailed information is also provided during orientation seminars for new students.
Another key element of the program is the mandatory internship. Beginning in the sixth semester, students complete three-day internships per week for a total of 42 workdays at public or private sector institutions, reinforcing their theoretical knowledge with practical experience. Double-major students can complete their internships during the summer semester. This multifaceted structure provides students with the opportunity to graduate with strong academic and professional skills.
