Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples

Graduates of the Master’s Program may be employed in medical device and medtech companies (e.g., Siemens, Medtronic, Stryker, Zeiss, GE Healthcare, Johnson & Johnson, Philips) in roles such as product engineering, field engineering, clinical application engineering, service engineering, and product/portfolio management. They may also work in hospitals and healthcare service providers (e.g., public hospitals, Koç University Hospital, American Hospital, Memorial) in positions related to biomedical engineering responsibility, technical coordination, and institutional support services. In the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sector (e.g., Abdi İbrahim, Straumann, Abbott, Pfizer, Deva Holding, World Medicine, Coloplast), graduates may undertake duties in research and development, manufacturing, quality control/quality assurance, and sales and marketing functions.

Furthermore, graduates may pursue career opportunities in clinical research organizations (e.g., IQVIA, ICON Plc, Parexel) in research specialist and clinical operations roles. They may also be employed within academic institutions (e.g., Boğaziçi University, Technical University of Munich, Medeniyet University) in positions such as research assistant, teaching assistant, and faculty member, subject to relevant institutional and regulatory requirements. In the public sector and regulatory domain, graduates may work under the Ministry of Health and Provincial Health Directorates in roles involving engineering services, inspection, compliance procedures, and regulatory monitoring.

In addition, graduates may take part in software-, data analytics-, and artificial intelligence–oriented companies and initiatives (e.g., Aselsan, DentalTwin, Hevi AI) as software developers and data scientists. Employment opportunities are not limited to Türkiye; graduates may also continue their careers in countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Canada, and the United States.
