Educational Aim of the Program
To train researchers who adopt an interdisciplinary approach to cognitive science in order to advance scientific understanding of the human mind and brain.
To provide an educational environment that supports theoretical and empirical interaction among disciplines such as psychology, linguistics, computer science, philosophy, neuroscience, and anthropology.
To enable students from diverse academic backgrounds to acquire comprehensive scientific knowledge of the core areas and subfields of cognitive science.
To support students in developing research questions that go beyond traditional disciplinary boundaries and in addressing these questions using innovative approaches.
To promote high-quality academic output at national and international levels, contributing to the development of cognitive science in Türkiye.

Educational Objectives of the Program
To possess advanced theoretical and empirical knowledge in at least two subfields of cognitive science (e.g., psychology, linguistics, neuroscience, computer science).
To be able to identify research problems related to cognitive processes using an interdisciplinary perspective and to investigate them with appropriate methods.
To independently apply scientific research techniques, including experimental design, data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
To communicate effectively with researchers from different disciplines and to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary research environments.
To be able to plan and conduct an original scientific research study through the completion of a master’s thesis.
To be prepared for academic careers or research-oriented professional paths (e.g., doctoral programs, research centers, universities).
