Facilities

Students of the Department of Advertising Design and Communication have access to advanced hardware, software, and infrastructure that enable them to effectively use contemporary learning tools. In applied courses such as ADV 271 Advertising Design and Graphics I, ADV 272 Advertising Design and Graphics II, ADV 372 Advanced Design in Advertising, ADV 472 Production Techniques in Advertising, and ADV 414 Advertising Workshop, students gain industry experience by using up-to-date design software and production technologies. To support professional-level work in both online and face-to-face learning environments, students are provided with Adobe Creative Cloud Teams access, as well as Shutterstock subscriptions, granting them access to widely used stock visual archives in the industry.

Yeditepe University’s advanced information technology infrastructure ensures students’ seamless participation in digital production processes. With its robust network systems, Student Information System (OBS), Learning Management System (Moodle–Coadsys), and project management applications, both course-based and project-based activities are carried out efficiently.

Department students can access more than 600,000 printed and electronic resources through the Information Center and benefit from international databases, e-journals, and thesis archives. The library supports research activities with modern computer and technology rooms and regularly offers training sessions on tools such as Mendeley, Turnitin, Scopus, and Web of Science.

Safety, accessibility, and hygiene standards are meticulously maintained in all educational environments. Occupational safety, emergency, and disinfection protocols are implemented across all laboratories and workshops. Additionally, through the Advisory and Coordination Unit for Students with Disabilities (EÖDK), the necessary infrastructure and academic support are provided for students with physical, visual, or auditory disabilities. Accessibility throughout the campus—including ramps, elevators, tactile surfaces, and wide corridors and doorways—is fully ensured.

Altogether, these facilities aim to maximize students’ creative thinking, digital production, research, and practical skills, preparing them comprehensively for the professional field of advertising and communication.
