Educational Aim of the Program

  • To equip students with knowledge of the ideas and cultures in examples of English and world literature, and to equip them with the concepts and terminology to be used in academic studies and the analysis of literary texts.
  • To equip students with the critical thinking, analytical approach, multifaceted perspective, analysis, interpretation, and conclusion-drawing skills necessary for a successful literary education.
  • To cultivate students into literary figures who can communicate effectively, are particularly successful in written and oral presentations, can work interdisciplinarily, are creative, know how to learn, are self-confident, and produce original ideas in their fields.
  • To prepare them to continue their professional and personal development by utilizing all kinds of information sources with a lifelong learning approach.
  • To equip students with the skills to select, use, develop, and effectively utilize information technologies and contemporary tools necessary for field applications.
  • To cultivate students into individuals who possess professional, legal, and social ethical awareness, are conscious of using their achievements for both individual and societal benefit, and have a developed sense of responsibility and social sensitivity.
