Specific Admission Requirements

Admission Requirements:

The program is open to students who hold a bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature or another field deemed appropriate by the department, and who have demonstrated their English language skills and aptitude for literature through written and oral examinations. Those whose knowledge of English Literature is deemed insufficient will be required to take 1 or 2 semesters of preparatory courses at the undergraduate level. This period will not be deducted from the legally permitted duration for the Master's program. Additionally, the admission requirements of the Institute of Social Sciences are listed below:

  • Having a bachelor's degree from an institution with domestic or international equivalency.
  • Having a minimum score of 55,000 or higher in any score type on the ALES exam. (Valid for three years. Candidates without an ALES certificate at the time of application may be accepted into the program as "special students").
  • For exemption from the English language exam, having a score of 70 on the ÜDS or KPDS exam, 84 on the TOEFL exam, or 5 on the IELTS exam taken within the last two years.
