The Ph.D. Program in Political Science and International Relations is only open to candidates holding an M.A. from a Turkish or an international university, as approved by the Turkish Higher Education Board (YÖK).Prospective students are required to take the ALES (Graduate Education Test), a general requirement of YÖK, and achieve the ALES score of 55 EA (quantitative and verbal joint section). Candidates must also pass a written and oral examination given by the Department. In our institution, the medium of education is English and candidates must have taken the TOEFL with a minimum score of 213 in the computer-based system or 79 in the internet based system.
