Among the main objectives of this program are to enhance and strengthen the education of students who have completed their master’s degree in an active and innovative scientific environment, to guide them in conducting independent scientific research, and, as a result, to increase their career opportunities in research institutes or biotechnology companies.
Molecular Medicine aims to: (i) train scientists who can understand the biological systems they will encounter in scientific, medical, and social research and apply this knowledge for the benefit of humanity; and (ii) educate scientists in the field of Molecular Medicine to follow and utilize interdisciplinary developments, since their work requires the use and interpretation of knowledge from biology, computer programs, mathematics, statistics, chemistry, and engineering. The offered master’s and doctoral programs have been designed with factors such as prediction, hypothesis formulation, problem-solving, and developing novel approaches to problems in mind. Within the framework of this program, and with the aid of advancing technology, it will facilitate understanding protein structures, gene variations, chemical inhibition, molecular mechanisms of diseases, and the development of new hypotheses for therapeutic interventions.
