The Periodontology PhD program has one professor, two associate professors, three assistant professors, and one instructor. This program is the only one in Turkey accredited by the European Federation of Periodontology. The program is conducted at the Yeditepe University Faculty of Dentistry Hospital. The program offers candidates extensive pre-clinical, clinical, and research opportunities. Pre-clinical studies are conducted in the phantom laboratory. Patient care services are provided in the Doctorate/Master's clinic, Laser Clinic (Er:YAG, Diode, and CO2 lasers), and operating rooms, all of which meet Joint Commission International (JCI) standards. Approximately ten thousand patients are admitted to our faculty each year. For research activities, the Faculty of Dentistry has one hard tissue laboratory and one soft tissue laboratory. In addition, students use the research laboratories within the Yeditepe University Institute of Health Sciences, to which the PhD program is affiliated. The Yeditepe University main campus and the Faculty of Dentistry offer extensive library facilities with both printed and electronic resources, enabling comprehensive research. The Faculty of Dentistry has received Joint Commission International accreditation three times in a row. The faculty uses the BS-EN ISO 9001 quality management system.
