Educational Aim of the Program
To enable students to use Russian functionally in academic and everyday communication contexts.
To develop basic academic literacy skills (comprehension, analysis, interpretation) through Russian.
To raise awareness of Russian language and culture and strengthen students’ intercultural communication skills.
To provide the foundational linguistic and academic skills required for undergraduate courses.
To ensure that, through modern teaching methods and qualified faculty, students reach CEFR B1 level, make a strong start in academic processes, and complete the program as independent users of the language.

Educational Objectives of the Program
Students who successfully complete the program are expected to:
use Russian independently, clearly, and coherently in academic and social contexts.
analyze and summarize academic and textual content appropriate to their level.
produce short academic texts and develop basic interpretation skills.
express their ideas in oral communication settings and participate in short discussions.
recognize basic social expressions, cultural codes, and communication patterns related to Russian culture.
possess the linguistic foundation at CEFR B1 level necessary to follow undergraduate courses conducted in Russian.
