Transfer Students from Other Universities
The prior education of students who transfer to undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral programs at Yeditepe University is recognized in accordance with the relevant regulations of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and under the coordination of the Adaptation (Equivalency) Committee. Courses previously completed at other universities may be recognized and recorded in the student’s transcript with the corresponding grades, provided that the Committee deems them compatible with the program curriculum.
Students admitted through the Vertical Transfer Exam are required to take the English Proficiency Exam upon enrollment.
Foreign Language Exemption
Students who have previously received formal, non-formal, or informal foreign language education before enrolling in undergraduate or graduate programs at Yeditepe University may be exempted from the preparatory language program if they pass the proficiency exam administered by the Department of Foreign Languages. The exemption is officially recorded in their transcripts.
Recognition of Prior Non-Formal and Informal Learning
At the beginning of each academic semester, an English proficiency exam is administered. Students who believe they have attained the required language proficiency have the right to take this exam. Those who succeed in the exam are exempted from the corresponding courses in their curriculum.
