Educational Aim of the Program

  • To educate professionals in the field of architecture who are capable of conducting research, thinking critically, engaging in discussion; who have developed skills in creative thinking, understanding, interpreting, and expressing architecture; and who stand out with their designer identity and original approach.
  • To educate individuals who possess comprehensive knowledge of architectural heritage on both local and global scales; who are conscious of diverse cultural environments and capable of understanding architecture within its historical, social, and cultural contexts; who are open to interdisciplinary knowledge production; and who develop sensitivity toward the preservation of architectural cultural heritage and the design of sustainable environments.
  • To educate architects who can critically examine the relationship between the city and architecture, who possess a strong sense of social and environmental responsibility, who adhere to ethical values and demonstrate high ecological awareness, and who, being conscious of geographical and geological conditions, aim to create sustainable living environments.
  • To educate individuals who prioritize life safety; who are well-equipped with knowledge of contemporary construction techniques, materials, and technological innovations; and who can effectively use current digital tools for design, production, and presentation.
  • To educate architects who can take active roles at various scales and stages of professional architectural practice; who possess strong teamwork and communication skills; who can assume responsibility within the framework of professional ethics and legal principles; and who are capable of effectively managing professional processes.

Educational Objectives of the Program

  • The Department of Architecture envisions providing a future-oriented and internationally qualified education that enables students to become inquisitive, discovery-driven, versatile, intellectually flexible, and intellectually developed individuals. It aims to graduate competent architects who question contemporary urban and architectural issues, think critically, engage in discussion, and have developed creative thinking skills as well as the ability to understand and interpret architecture, while being aware of general architectural concepts.
