1The ability to plan treatment and effectively manage pain based on the differential diagnosis and treatment of oral pain of pulpal and/or periradicular origin.
2The ability to plan for complex cases by considering the patient's systemic condition and using specialized knowledge, taking into account other areas of dentistry.
3The ability to perform non-surgical endodontic treatment according to its fundamental principles, philosophies, and procedures, taking into account the morphology, physiology, and pathologies of the pulp and periapical tissues, and to carry out re-treatment when necessary.
4Endodontic surgeons should be able to select and perform a wide range of treatment options appropriate to the case for patients requiring surgical endodontic treatment, including apicectomy and retrograde fillings, surgical repair of root resorption, selective tissue removal procedures such as hemisection and root amputation, intentional replantation, and replantation of avulsed teeth, all while maintaining maximum psychomotor skill.
5Having detailed knowledge of apexogenesis, apexification, apical plugging, and regenerative endodontics applications in teeth with incomplete root tip development, as well as the materials that can be used in these treatments, and being able to select the appropriate method and material for the case and apply them with maximum psychomotor skill.
6We are able to apply the most up-to-date endodontic approaches specific to geriatric patients, pediatric patients, discolored teeth, anomalous teeth, and traumatized teeth.
7Possessing knowledge of the restoration of endodontically treated teeth, being able to prepare the post space considering the root canal morphology and the patient- and tooth-specific characteristics of the tooth's hard tissues, as well as the root canal filling method used; being able to select and apply the most suitable post system.
8By prioritizing evidence-based dentistry principles, we can examine successful studies in endodontic treatment and communicate information to patients regarding the expected success rates of each treatment method, taking implant applications into consideration.
9Knowing the principles of keeping visual and written records of clinical practices and respecting patient confidentiality.
10The ability to read scientific publications using critical analytical evaluation and synthesize their findings.
11Ability to apply knowledge of the histology, physiology, and pathology of oral tissues in clinical practice.
12Possessing detailed knowledge of functional anatomy and radiographic anatomy and being able to apply this knowledge in radiological and clinical settings.
13The ability to perform endodontic treatment in accordance with aseptic and antiseptic rules; to make decisions regarding the treatment of endodontic infections, establishing shaping and irrigation protocols, determining the number of sessions, and choosing between surgical and non-surgical treatment methods, using knowledge of microbiology.
14Ability to apply medications used in endodontics while taking into account their pharmacological effects.
15To evaluate the reliability of scientific articles, one must be able to understand and interpret statistical analyses.
16In terms of evidence-based dentistry, the ability to plan and conduct scientific studies, analyze findings, and evaluate results, taking into account the evidentiary value.
